PASTORAL COUNCIL MEETING NOTES

January 11^th, 2011

All Council Meeting

-          Fr. Hurlbert led a discussion on the council accomplishments on the targets for 2010. The visibility subcommittee of the Parish Council completed the target of publishing each members profile in the bulletin and online. The ministry fair target was decided to be accomplished in a different method than a traditional ministry fair. The council decided to include this in the talent portion of stewardship. The stewardship subcommittee has been provided information monthly in the bulletin on time, talent and treasure.

-          We discussed council members attending other parish group meetings and reporting back to the full council on a periodic basis.

Parish Council Meeting Format

-       The council discussed the format and frequency of the meetings. The options discussed were leave the council meetings every month with the same structure, have the meetings once per quarter with the off months designated for subcommittee meetings or have the meetings once per month with time designated to work on subcommittee projects. This discussion will be carried over to the next meeting.

Deanery Council Update

-          Dave Grzenia updated the council on the upcoming revision to the roman missal. He also discussed the realignment and rebalancing of the vicariates in the archdiocese.

Miscellaneous

-          No Parish Council meeting for February

-          Next Parish Council meeting will be held on Monday, March 21st

-          Next meeting is All Council meeting discussion for April 3^rd

o   Recommended topics for the meeting are to discuss the Archdiocese Strategic Plan and Athenaeum plans. The all council meeting date is set for Sunday April 3 after the 5 pm mass.
